Pete Clifton

Pete Clifton is the Editor-in-Chief at PA Media, the national news agency for the UK and Ireland. PA’s team of 300 journalists delivers words, pictures, videos and graphics to national and regional broadcasters, newspapers and websites across the five nations and the rest of the world. A journalist for more than 40 years, Clifton began as a news and sports reporter in his home town of Northampton, and has also been Editor of the BBC News website and the founding Editor of the BBC Sport website. He was also Executive Producer at Microsoft’s MSN UK website before returning for his second stint at PA in 2015. Away from work, Clifton enjoys cycling, golf, playing the piano, his family, and exchanging stories in bars.
